Et voilà 2026
It’s time for the review. The final words of the last chapter have just closed the book of the year 2025. A rich and exhausting year, both professionally and personally, where choices had to be made.
First of all, as part of my profession, a transfer in the month of March led me to reconsider my career but above all to invest myself, again, considerably in order to learn new skills while understanding as best as possible this new place of employment of the most prestigious. New issues to take into account, new training but especially a new team that I had to integrate as I went along. The professional being, even if we always say to dissociate the two, inseparable from the staff, there were choices to make.
Returning to a rhythm of shifts, I had to relearn being absent from home, the only component different from my rhythm of watching the past, the children. A component that is not insignificant when one knows how many young children are applicants. So I had to make the choice to leave this site and my social networks aside for the benefit of my new job, but especially of my family. I also wanted to prioritize sharing moments with friends, wanting to refocus on what is dear to me.
To maintain a site like this, although it is still at the start of what I would like it to be, it takes time. That’s why, now that everything has stabilized and everyone has found their place, it’s time to get back to it.
This short year of pause allowed me to do a great deal of introspection and make several observations. The first being that the population reads less and less. Nowadays, we consume more visual and auditory content, that’s why this new year brings its share of novelties, with new content that should see the light of day.
The second being that social networks have a primordial place in communication. That’s why, on this side, there will be new things in order to introduce you to my favorites as well as the various visits and tastings that punctuate my year, in a more personal way.
The third being that I saw myself as too greedy. I always wanted to bring more content, but I got lost in it. The Tasting Zone was so time-consuming that I no longer took pleasure in this site, seeing myself too often overwhelmed. That’s why from today, the tastings will be transcribed either in the tasting book or on the blog. As always, the notes and comments will only engage me.
Taking stock of this year is also that, knowing how to question oneself. It also allowed me to realize that it was, once again, rich in tastings and discoveries, with an inestimable chance to have tasted wines and champagnes that are among the best in the world.
As you will have understood, this year of absence has been very beneficial for me, ready to move forward again. During 2025, I had the opportunity to apprehend champagne. And there, I must admit that I had a lot of assumptions that I had to deconstruct. A real revelation for me, a big thank you to my friend Théodore.
2026 is therefore the year of renewal. I already wish you a very beautiful year. See you soon for new adventures.
